School Site Council / El Consejo del Plantel Educativo

Schools that receive federal and state funding must establish a School Site Council (SSC), pursuant to EC Section 52852. The SSC is a decision-making committee that oversees the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and corresponding Title I budget. At the elementary level, the SSC shall be constituted to ensure parity between the principal, classroom teachers, and other school personnel; and parents or other community members selected by parents. Regardless of size of school membership cannot be less than 10 members.

Las escuelas que reciben fondos federales y estatales deben establecer un Consejo del Plantel Educativo (SSC por sus siglas en inglés), según el EC Sección 52852. El SSC es un comité que toma decisiones y supervisa El Plan Escolar para el Logro Estudiantil (SPSA por sus siglas en inglés) y el presupuesto correspondiente al Title I.
